About Euge Groove:

It's been almost 2 years since we had the incredible and funky Euge Groove on Saxophone in concert here in Hawaii! He's back to perform tracks from his new chart-topping release S7VEN LARGE. His last CD, Born to Groove was number 1 on The Billboard jazz charts and he has had several top ten hits through out his career.

Euge Groove, known to his friends as Eugene Grove, has worked hard for his vaulted place in smooth jazz. Early classical piano lessons led to studies on the saxophone. Graduating from the University of Miami with a degree in saxophone performance, Groove played in a variety of bands and did studio work before coming to the attention of fellow saxophonist Richard Elliot who got him a gig with Tower of Power. Later work with artists like Tina Turner, Joe Cocker and Elton John kept Groove constantly on the road before staking out a solo career.

Groove has released six bestselling albums and garnered a ton of radio airplay. His seventh release, Seven Large, finds the musician releasing nine original compositions and one cover, the R&B hit "Love Won't Let Me Wait." For long time fans of Groove, this album will fit in nicely with his previous work. There isn't anything earth-shattering, down and dirty rocking or mind-blowing on the disc. Instead we get Groove's typical mix of nice mid-tempo melodies well produced; Groove produced this recording and it's obvious he took a lot of notes during his previous CD releases with smooth jazz producing guru Paul Brown. About Paul Brown:

Paul Brown's talent as guitarist, producer and engineer have earned him two Grammy Awards and an impressive string of more than 40 number one hits on Radio & Records' smooth jazz chart. In an illustrious career spanning over two decades, Brown has worked on projects for such influential artists as George Benson, Al Jarreau, Kirk Whalum, Patti Austin, Norman Brown, Luther Vandross, Larry Carlton, Euge Groove, Boney James, Rick Braun, and Peter White, among many others.

Brown was born and raised in Los Angeles. He started playing drums at age five and picked up his first guitar two years later. After studying music and math at the University of Oregon, Brown returned to L.A. and began his rise to fame producing some of the biggest hits in contemporary jazz. In insider circles, Brown is known as "the Babyface of Smooth Jazz," and rightly so. In 2004, he finally stepped out from behind the producer's chair and released his debut CD "Up Front" which was followed up by four more albums. His latest CD is called "Love You Found Me" (2010). About the Hawaii Convention Center:

Hawai'i as a destination expounds on aspects including, but not exclusive to global location, cultural diversity, productivity, destination appeal and added value, industry resources, competitive pricing, value of facility, and customer service in a way that no other destination can. And of course, no other destination offers business with aloha.

Initially based on feedback from the Center's advisory boards and clients, the message distinguishes the Hawai'i Convention Center from other venues by touting its attributes, and it sheds light on some of the misperceptions that circulate regarding the business environment in Hawaii. Most importantly however, is that this initiative is rooted in testimonials of past convention organizers and attendees which imparts credence and verity, reiterating the Center's commitment to the customer.

Each aspect addresses crucial factors that are on the minds of those considering Hawaii as a meetings destination in a tangible and convincing manner. For example,

* Na Mea Ho'okipa customer care and commitment
* Global by design in location and outreach which increase attendance
* People industry liaisons on the ground
* Balance in all aspects, particularly business and life
* Diversity in population and in culture
* Honolulu the vibrant and sophisticated capitol city of Hawai'i
* Waikiki rich in history, and revitalized and rejuvenated

Ultimately, the Hawai'i Advantage is about looking at the whole picture when considering the Hawai'i and the Hawai'i Convention Center, because a successful meeting is not exclusively dependent on progressive meeting facilities or cost-effectiveness. Nor is it solely about a beautiful setting and first-rate customer service. It is about the inclusion of all of these factors, and that is what The Hawai'i Advantage is.
