BALLET HAWAII PRESENTS 'MUSIC OF THE NIGHT' ON SEPTEMBER 6:
STARS FROM 'RETURN OF THE THREE PHANTOMS' HELP WITH BENEFIT
Ballet Hawaii holds a special fundraiser entitled 'Music of the Night' on Saturday, September 6, drawing its inspiration from the stars of 'Return of the Three Phantoms' who will provide the evening's entertainment.
Craig Schulman, Cris Groenendaal and Kevin Gray--each of whom has played the title role in 'The Phantom of the Opera' either on Broadway or national tour--will be accompanied by Sue Anderson for the entertainment which has inspired the benefit's theme and will be performing Broadway favorites. The performers have timed their Honolulu visit to arrive a week before their three Hawaii Theatre shows September 12-14, which also benefit Ballet Hawaii, to show their continuing support.
The event, chaired by Ballet Hawaii's Susan Schull and Judy Muncaster, takes place from 6:30 p.m. at a Nuuanu estate owned by developer Stanford Carr. Located at 3766 Old Pali Road at Paris Place, it will be the setting for sunset cocktails, a seated dinner from Bistro Caterers, and a show that organizers predict will give arts aficionados an 'unequaled, up-close Broadway experience. It also is an ideal kamaaina home, built in 1928 and meticulously restored. Since it is on the market for sale at $3.9 million and unfurnished, it is the perfect 'canvas' for our event,' said Schull.
Prime tables for the fundraiser are available for groups of eight or ten, priced at $200 per person. Individual seats are $175 each. Valet parking is provided.
